Missing Children Policy

At Big Stars Cricket League (BSCL), the absolute safety and well-being of all young children involved in our league activities is our top operational priority. This policy clearly defines the rapid-response measures we will take if a child is unaccounted for during any trial, tournament match, or league activity.

1. Immediate Action Protocols

If a child is reported missing from the designated zone:

  • Instant Sweep: The immediate venue area will be swept thoroughly by designated staff, volunteers, and security heads.
  • Security Alert: A dedicated incident coordinator will alert ground security and local authorities if the child is not located within a 10-minute window.
  • Supervisory Care: All other children in the immediate vicinity will be consolidated into a safe, controlled environment under supervisor watch.

2. Communication Matrix

  • Guardian Notification: The registered parent or legal guardian will be contacted via emergency channels immediately.
  • Description Data: A precise description of the child (attire, age, physical markers, and last known location) will be transmitted to all operational staff and volunteers instantly.
  • Authorities: Official police departments will be engaged if the initial search perimeter is cleared without positive findings.

3. Search Procedure

  • Primary Sweep: High-risk nearby zones—including stadium restrooms, equipment tents, spectator stands, and parking peripheries—will be prioritized.
  • Checkpoint Control: All venue entry and exit gates will be locked under monitoring watch by security leads.
  • Task Force: All league staff members will pivot from standard duties to active search team operations until the child is recovered.

4. Recovery Protocols

  • Safety Validation: Physical safety and well-being of the child will be verified by a medical professional or senior staff.
  • Guardian Re-unification: The child will be restored to the parent/guardian with formal documentation verification.
  • Incident Analysis: A comprehensive post-recovery review will be logged to tighten security lapses.
  • Emotional Support: Appropriate counseling or supportive care will be provided if the child appears distressed.

5. Preventive Security Layers

  • Supervisory Mandate: Children must remain supervised by a registered parent or designated team mentor at all times during event hours.
  • Tracking Credentials: Every participant will be issued digital entry passes or secure ID tags for venue verification.
  • Headcount Audit: Team managers are required to perform routine headcounts during transition stages.
  • Staff Training: Our operational team undergoes recurring briefing sessions on safety handling procedures.

6. Incident Reporting Registry

  • All minor/major missing incidents will be captured in a detailed written safety report for official league files.
  • Every finding will be processed by the oversight committee in the immediate post-event review session to enhance venue protective architecture.

7. System Commitment

We remain dedicated to building a safe, secure environment where young athletic spirits can excel. We request parents and team guardians to stay vigilantly aligned with our safety protocols throughout all league activities.

"Every child’s safety is everyone’s responsibility — together, we create a secure space where young dreams grow fearlessly."
